Most of the oven used in the modern kitchen has at least one temperature sensor (two are most common) and some kind of user interface. The temperature sensors in side of the oven can be divided in to two categories, first one measures the temperature of the oven or in fact the temperature of the air inside the oven. The second category named...

The purpose of this project is to deliver a low-cost air quality monitor, using different gas sensors, more specifically carbon monoxide, propane and methane. The monitor will have configurable thresholds to trigger an alarm. A log with all the measurements will be available for consultation on the device.

Domestic digital water NMR flowmeter. Water meter doesn’t require a cutting the water pipe. Method of flow measurement is based on the phenomenon of nuclear magnetic resonance (United State Patent US3559044). Paramagnetic fluid flowing through a conduit, which has been previously polarized by a magnetizing field, is tagged by rotating the...

Search and rescue is a very difficult task to do. Not only it is exhausting, it also imposes danger to the rescuers due to the situations they went into. Sometimes, it happens that the rescuer will either get lost or be the one to be rescued. After the calamity like earthquakes or landslides, looking for a person buried beneath the thick walls...

Lost model locator is used to located a lost remote control car or plane, which goes out of sight into a heavily overgrown area. Some of the new features are – activation after take-off, automatic sensing of electric motor being off and user controlled alarm intensity. The power is received from the r/c receiver directly - similar to a typical...

This design uses an LPC1100 family microcontroller as the control and communications element for a germicidal lamp ballast. Germicidal lamps require a current control element, called a ballast, to operate properly. The ballast performs other functions as well. They must also provide a voltage to pre-heat the filaments and provide a high voltage...
